PFO Weekly 6 Dec |
|
Dec 07, 2008 - 6:04 AM - by VGrozny

This weeks PFO tournament finds itself a new champion, 4tun8. 4tun8 was able to claim the title when he made his way through a field of six. We saw three newcomers vs three regulars and the stars shown on the newcommers.
Vic Grozny was the first eliminated when he put his pair of sevens against Adidas' ace ten. When a ten hit the flop it was all but over for Vic and Adidas took a commanding lead.
4tun8 was able to eliminate classicred with this hand-

JC Tran wins PartyPoker Premier League III |
|
Dec 01, 2008 - 11:09 AM - by MJPerry
|
After some gruelling matches involving 12 (mostly) world-class poker players, JC Tran has been crowned the champion of PartyPoker's unique league/knockout tournament. This rounds off a fantastic year for him as in the 2008 WSOP he won his first bracelet.
JC Tran won $300k for his Premier League victory.
Tran, who was sponsored by Team PKR for the televised event in London, was fortunate to be chipleader over an impressive final table consisting of UK pro and high-stakes online player Roland de Wolfe; Russian-abusing loudmouth Tony G; online superstar Tom Dwan; Party Poker Premier League II champion Juha Helppi and 2008 WSOP Main Event champion Peter Eastgate.
The starting chip counts and seat draw for the final table was as follows:
Seat 1: Tom Dwan (United States) - 260,000
Seat 2: Juha Helppi (Finland) - 340,000
Seat 3: Tony G (Australia) - 260,000
Seat 4: Roland de Wolfe (United Kingdom) - 230,000
Seat 5: JC Tran (United States) - 450,000
Seat 6: Peter Eastgate (Denmark) - 390,000
Only a few hands in Tony G decimated durrrr's stack. Tony G raised pre-flop with T9o and Dwan 3-bet him holding Qc-4c. After Tony’s call the flop came down with something for everybody – Tc Jc 4d. Tony moved in over the top of Dwan’s $43,000 bet and... [Read More]

PFO Weekly plays HORSE |
|
Nov 29, 2008 - 5:00 PM - by VGrozny
|
This weeks PFO Tourney saw a divergence from the regular no limit Texas Hold'em into a HORSE tourney. Vic Grozny was victor after making his way through a massive field of four. With this large of a field we were able to make it to the S of the tournament before it was over.
In the limit hold'em round Vic took an early lead when he chased down an open ended straight draw on the river to take the first hand and a 600 chip lead.
The chip counts remained close through out the hold'em round. Once inside the Omaha8 round, Bagonirix and DT pro started to make their moves to close in on the lead. Bagonirix ended up on the short end of a hand when newcommer Indigo_669 drew a full house jacks full over Bagonirix's full house threes full.

Gus Hansen Wins $339k in 200/400 PLO |
|
Nov 25, 2008 - 3:03 PM - by ngaskin
|
Last month Gus was the biggest winner over all games taking down around $2.8m but so far this month he has *only* made ~$100k. Most of the sessions profits came from Ziigmund, Brian Hastings and regista8.
In yesterdays PLO action the biggest winners were of course Gus with a $339k profit, paperdotcom with $122k, and MR B 2 U SON with $96k.
With all big winners, there come big losers with Brian Hastings dropping $238k and Ziigmund dropping $116k.

Bagonirix Does It Again in the PFO Weekly |
|
Nov 23, 2008 - 9:35 AM - by VGrozny
|
Bagonirix vs KRE8R part IV. Its almost like a Rocky sequel but this isn't fiction. Four out of five times now the two finalist are Bagonirix and KRE8R with the same results.
It didn't look good for our current champ early in the game when his were cracked by sociotymax's when he hit two pair. Bagonirix was down 600 chips after the hand and was able to double back through when he put his up against IIAv8tionII's .
somewhere after that it appears that Bagonirix was able to take a good portion of GonnaBoostYa's stack...the hand history for this hand wasn't in the list. ... [Read More]
