I know this subject has been brought up before, but I'm going crazy with the JetSet public tourneys. I can't get in!!!!! Both this Sat & Sun night I could not get into the event. I was right there at the instant it opened registration clicking away. But both were filled in 1 second and I was shut out.

I'm not too fond of the league scoring being impacted by the luck of the draw for even getting into an event. That was two league events that I wanted to play, was right on top of it ready to register, but couldn't even participate. Same thing happened last weekend for the Sunday Jetset tourney.

I know JetSet is good to FPL by sponsoring the Wed omaha event. But it sure would be nice to play Sat and Sun events some place where those who want to play have half a chance to get entered. Des and the FPL brass can do what they want and I'll support it, but it at least feels good to vent a little. cussing

Krakoose,

Any thoughts on a location that has freerolls at the same time that is worth the effort? I know we've tried a few others in the past, but ended up with sites that either won't let people withdraw without giving blood.

I also agree that the Jetset tournies fill up way to fast...

I have not been able to get into any of the late tourneys at JS on Sat or Sun for the last 3 weekends. Wish they would open up the # of entries. I don't know what the answer is, Absolute has a lot of freerolls, but not sure about times. JS does a lot for the FPL, and I feel they remain probably the best site, just wish there were better times and more entrant #. With JS removing the 8 PM EDT tourneys, it is getting harder for those of us on the east coast to get tourney games in.

I do believe the only real solution to the problem is that jet should up the number of entrants allowed in those tourneys. 400 is just too small a number when you have a large number of league players competing against the rest of the world for 400 spots. I was bad enough when it was 500 entry's but 400 is just plain silly. If any one can get jet to bump it up to 500 again Des can. He's the POOF MAN.

yeah would be same prob. at 500 ,.. 1000 then maybe but JS needs to upgrade there server BIG TIME lag is common and site probs. the same. i've stopped playing there alltogether after getting shut of a few real $ tournys i'd rather play at a site where i get to finish all my games.. they need to put there hand in their pockets and upgarde (imho)

Personally, I don't think that an additional 100 entrants would make much of a difference, aside from an additional 10 seconds to register. We have been looking at mixing up the schedule at little bit to alleviate this particular issue. We’ll see if we cen change the schedule around a little this coming weekend and see if it helps.

I have to agree with Des that the additional 100 entries would probably not make that much of a difference. I have emailed JetSet about them lowering the number of entrants, and basically got from the response they sent me that they don't have much intention of upping it any time soon. I personally feel that JetSet is putting so much enphasis on money players that I don't think they really give much care about the freeroll world anymore.... but that is neither here nor there... it is just my personal thought on the matter..........

I don't even try to get into Jet tourneys anymore, which is a sad thing for me to say because I have always loved JetSet. It has always been my favorite site.... But, regretfully, even though they have been a wonderful sponsor for us, I am thinking that we should certainly be looking into different sites to be able to play some of our weekend games on. If y'all need any help looking for, or checking out new sites, just let me know. I would be happy to help Wink

I don't really feel any way in particular about this. Every tourney I have attempted to get into, I have gotten into, with one exception. That was my fault, something on the tv drew my attention away and I missed clicking the register button. Otherwise, I have made it in all of them. I know they fill fast, but I am one of those filling the seats!

I'll go wherever the schedule says to go. But I wouldn't stop going to JS for some of the games! They may stop giving us money for our private games!

Just my two cents! Smile

Well I agree Jetset is getting pretty hard to get into in Prime Time. I started paying at the Bicycle Casino recently. I have started to see more and more league members playing there. There tourneys never seem to fill up which would solve the "shut out" problem at Jetset. I don't what other problems that we would encounter there but I might be worth a look. The site seems to be a feeder site for Pokertropolis. Anyway, I do agree something needs to be done about the Jetsets small number of entries in the prime time games.
Another idea would be to have a second league only game on the weekend with a small buy in at Jetset. I know don't start with the "Free" poker league deal, it is being done by other leagues and maybe it is time for this league to "ante up". This might convince them to give us a second game on the weekend for the league, one pay one free? Okay fire away, lol.

You are correct in anticipating my response. There will never be buy-in league games at FPL. Never. That’s not what we do. Period. As I said earlier, we are looking at ways of altering the league schedule to alleviate this issue.

Desdinova

One other thing, Jetset doesn't have to 'ante' anything up. This is a site that supports the fpl with prize money 5 times a month, and yet the tone of your post is indicitive of an attitude that they owe us even more. They set thier freeroll schedule according to the goals and objectives of their company, not to support the needs of any leagues. In my opinion they do much more than they have to. Stop looking gift horses in the mouth.

Well you must have misread my post. I agree Jestset owes us nothing more than they give us. I love playing at Jetset. I just was suggesting maybe we could do more for Jetset.

I did misread your post and did not mean to misrepresent your argument. I believe the best way for us to pay back jetset is to simply play the real money games there.

Any idea what happened to the idea of Jetset in the early spot and Absolute in the late time slot? It seemed to work well on the initial test?
