|
|
Would it be possible to add a category or column on the Rankings chart page that shows the total number of League tourneys each member has posted for that month?
My purpose is that it would be interesting to see, if someone has their top 5 scores as all 90% or better, how many posted tourneys it took for them to achieve these 5 high scores. It will make 5 scores in the 90's very impressive if they've only posted a total of 5 tourney scores for the month. On the other hand it will be quite revealing if someone posts 5 scores in the 90's, but they were the best of 36 tourney scores posted for the month.
Thanks for considering.

Out of the rankings that are posted on the board now.... out of the 5 that are posted... I played in 5 tourneys. Don't get too much time to play on the weekends because "real life" interferes so much! I don't know if that is good or bad for my score |

| I don't think it will reveal much by doing this. If I play in a tourny and get a bad score that won't help my ranking I don't bother posting it. Why make someone waste there time varifying my finish if it doesn't matter. You may see 6-8 tournys posted but actully there was 10-15 played. |

What are the yellow blocks?
I know the blue ones highlight the 100 scores but why are some of the blocks yellow? |

The yellow blocks are newly reported scores. If you noticed, anyone with a yellow score also has their total highlighted with that funky color that I don't even know what to call it... "salmon" maybe??? lol....... that is because they reported a new score so therefore they have a new total. _________________ My family puts the "fun" in dysfunctional |

I think the question posed is a valid one. I speak from experience when I say this too.
Back in mid 2003 when I 1st joined what was this league before Wayne took over (and a fine job he and his "staff" have been doing ), I was layed off work at the time and played at least 90% of the tourneys scheduled, and ranked in the top 5 all the time. But nowadays I only play less than 50% of the scheduled tourneys (The Omaha on Weds, and 2 or 3 of the weekend games) and rarely make top 10.
That being said, I also agree with the reply about it being more work, and also, it wouldnt reflect the actual # of games played to achieve the scores posted. Again I speak from experience, because I usually do not bother posting a score less that 50-60, so my "total games-finishes reported ratio" would not be accurate. Unless we had a manditory report rule (which is ludicrous), there is no way to post this "category" with any accuracy at all.
But it still is a valid question despite being nearly impossible to monitor.
P.S. Too many Omaha games this weekend.... yuck.... whoever invented 9 card poker should be shot (or probably was) |

I agree but right now I'm just trying to get my 5 games in. _________________ AKA AlienSorrow. PiRaNhA at CD Poker.
