As we prepare to kick off the 2006 season this Wednesday, I thought I would take a second and let everyone know some of the changes that we will be implementing this year. Not everything is set in stone yet, so I'll stick with the couple of things that will begin right away.
- After multiple requests, we are changing the scoring formula to:
Scores would be calculated using this method: (x-(y-1))/x) *100 = Score
Start with the number of people who entered the tournament (x),
(-)minus the place you finished less 1 (y -1),
(/)divide by the number of people who entered (x),
(*)times 100 (=)equals your score.
This is also being done to facilitate some scoring automation that we are currently working on and hoping to implement sometime this year. This shouldn't affect our members; just make updating the rankings page much easier and more accurate. I'll be sure to let everyone know before we implements that.
- We will no longer send out the Omaha password via email.
Many people have reported problems with the timeliness emails we send out. Beginning this Wednesday, we will be placing the password in the Jetset password forum only. Anyone who earns Omaha eligibility is able to see this topic. We will still try to get the password posted about an hour or so before the tourney.
There are a few other minor changes we are discussing and I will add to this list as events warrant.

It took me a while to master the old way to figure my score... now I will just have to report it and wait to see what I actually got because I'll never remember that!!!
It will be like Christmas twice a week for me... waiting to see what HeySantaBuddy gives me for a score!

Never had a problem with getting the password by e-mail. 2 or 3 times in
the last year I got the password late but 3 out of 52 aint bad. So where
is this "JetSet Omaha Password" forum, I can't find it.
Any help on getting the password would be nice and I'll be able to play ya
this Wednesday.

If you are eligible for the password, you will be able to see it in the main forum index under the Welcome Area. It will appear like magic about an hour before the tourney. If you are not eligible, you will not see this locked forum.
P.S. It doesn't appear that you are eligible. Play 5 games in one month and report your scores to play in the Wednesday Omaha Tourney. _________________ Don't argue with an idiot; People watching may not be able to tell the difference

You were removed from the eligibility list due to inactivity, that’s why you can't see the topic. You haven't posted a score since September. (You posted 1 score in Sept & 2 August). You've got to post 5 scores from scheduled league tourneys to regain eligibility.
