Just entered a 7-stud freeroll there. 8 people at the table. That's 56 cards if everyone takes all 7. What's up with that? Absolutely moronic. What do they do, use jokers? I'll find out and post a follow-up.

Edit: Apparently they bleed over into a new deck. The four cards are still chosen at random but causes duplicates which is absolutely stupid, and thus I won't ever be in anymore JetSet 7-stud tournaments. They could have just made it 7 tables, but they had to be dumb? Don't get it.

Anyway, not a huge deal, I just don't understand the logic. Why not have common sense and have 7 seats?

That's how it works at all sites and live games. If all players stay until 7th, the 7th street card is dealt to the board as a community card.

Edit: Read your edit after posting this, and you're wrong. This is from the JetSet website:

Lastly, each still active player is dealt a seventh and final card face down and known only to that person. On Seventh Street, if insufficient cards remain in the deck to deal a card to each active player, a single community card is dealt face-up in the center of the table. All remaining players may use the community card to complete their hands as in a Hold'em game. The final round of betting will once more begin, as the previous ones, with the player whose exposed cards have the highest poker value acting first.

Oh, well that's better, I was taking someone's word for it. Still I'm wary of that. Not going to invest any money into it. I'll stick to seven people.

I bet it happens once in every 10 blue moons. I've never seen it.

But notice that Jetset has 9 player holdem and omaha tables while there are sites out there with 10 player tables. Slightly less fish power. Wink

I haven't come across a site on the net that doesn't do 8 players to a Stud table.
