Ok. Minor rant coming. You have been warned.

I love PokerStars. I love the software. I love the cash players. I love their high capacity capabilities. Able to support simulataneous 5000 player tournaments is something I've never seen anywhere else. I hate their freerolls. Their freerolls possibly have the least to do with the cards you get as any site. If you avoid the circus maniacs, you have a shot. All you have to do is survive 20 minutes to be halfway through.

I think it's a greater accomplishment to finish 100th in a 1000 person tourney than it is to finish 600th in a 6000 person melee. I would like to see PokerStars on the schedule maybe only once a week instead of the three times it has now. Like I mentioned before, I like the software too much to suggest getting rid of it completely. I just think it may be too nuts to do 3 times a week.

I am looking for a better fit for the PS time slot on the weekends. In 2005 I think we'll cut PS down to only Weds.

While I agree that it is a greater accomplishment to finish 100 out of 1000 then 600 of 6000 (at least in the case of PokerStars freerolls) I don't think they are quite as bad as you are making them out. If you play tight poker for the first hour that takes care of almost all the real crazy players and the poker improves to about as high as it gets in freerolls anywhere else. Main thing is they just take to long to place. Must finish at the final table and it takes 6 hours to get into a low sattellite though for the purpose of scoring for the league finishing up or down a few places makes it a much less significant then other places.
